Integrating your strategic plan with your Microsoft Teams has never been easier, thanks to ClearPoint for Teams. This powerful app streamlines information flow, allowing you to stay updated and receive alerts directly within Teams. With simple text commands, team members can pull the latest data from their strategic plan and update the status of measures or edit details of initiatives without ever leaving the Teams environment.
Add ClearPoint to Microsoft Teams
Log in to Microsoft Teams at teams.microsoft.com
Click on Apps
Enter βClearPointβ into the search bar
Click on Add
A new window will appear, click the Add button
A chat will open from ClearPoint with a link to log into your Clearpoint account
Click on Login (Opens in Browser)
Enter your ClearPoint Strategy credentials
In the ClearPoint chat, you will now see a message confirming that you have successfully authenticated with ClearPoint Strategy.
Receiving Mentions
When you are @mentioned in ClearPoint, you will receive a notification card in your Microsoft Teams Chat.
The card will include the element's information at the top and the comment's information below.
Clicking the "View Comment" button will take you to the comment in ClearPoint.
Reply directly to the comment using the comment text field and clicking the "Reply" button.
You can react to the comment in ClearPoint through teams by reacting to the card itself using one of the supported emojis.
Receiving Notifications
The option to turn on and off Microsoft Teams Notifications can be found in your edit profile page.
Make sure you have notifications selected for the elements that you want to receive notifications from
If an update or edit occurs for the element where you had the notification selected, you will receive a card in Microsoft Teams with the following information
Notification type
What element was modified
When the element was modified
In what Scorecard the element was modified
Who it was modified by
Name of the element that was modified
A Before and After of the fields that were modified
A "View in ClearPoint" button that will redirect you to the element page where this modification occurred
You will also receive a notification for reports that have been generated in ClearPoint
The card will display what type of report was generated
A Download button to download the report without leaving Microsoft Teams
A "View in ClearPoint" button that will redirect you to your exports page
Viewing Elements
To view an element, type "view element" in the Microsoft Teams Chat
Follow the prompts
Editing and Updating Elements
To edit or update an element type "edit element" or "update element"
Follow the prompts
If you have more than one element with the same name, it will give you the options to select, click on the one you want to edit
Make changes to your edit and update fields, and click update or cancel
A confirmation card will appear that will ask you to confirm your changes
Logging out and Help command
Type "Logout" to logout of ClearPoint for Microsoft Teams
Type "Help" for a list of supported commands and additional features
