Visualize Your Data - Exporting charts to PPT or PDF

This article walks through how to export charts to PPT or PDF in ClearPoint.

In ClearPoint you can easily create presentations with your data, exporting your charts to PowerPoint or PDF format makes it simpler to communicate your findings to your team and your clients.


Exporting charts to PowerPoint or PDF

  • Select Reports from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Measure Reports

  • Select the Dashboard you are going to be working with

  • From the dropdown menu select either Export to PowerPoint or PDF

  • If you selected Export to PDF you will have the options to choose the Page Size and Page Orientation

Depending on the size of the dashboard, the PowerPoint or PDF can take anywhere from a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes to generate. Once it is ready, you can download the file. Alternatively, you will also be notified by the notification bell. Click on the bell icon to open the Alerts Inbox.


Exporting charts to single pages in PowerPoint

You can also export custom built Dashboards so that they display just one chart per slide, instead of the default four charts per slide.

  • Select Reports from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Measure Reports

  • Click the Plus icon to create a new Measure Dashboard

  • Under Report Name, enter the name of the new Dashboard, for example, ‘Large Dashboard’.

  • From Report Type select Dashboard

  • Use the Dashboard Size dropdown menu to select Large Charts

  • Once you are done creating your new Measure Dashboard, click Save

    • When this Dashboard is exported in PowerPoint, it will display one chart per slide.
