Add a Quick Chart in ClearPoint

Adding a Chart to a Scorecard Summary Report

Adding a quick chart to a Summary report can be useful to quickly visualizing your data.

  • Select Reports from the Control Panel

  • Open Scorecard Reports

  • Select the Report you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Summary Report’.

  • Click the edit Pencil icon

  • Click on Place Chart.

  • Select the chart type you would like to add, for this example 'Measure Chart'.

  • Choose the Measure and Chart that you want to include the Quick Chart for. 

  • Under Chart Name, enter the name of the Quick Chart field, in this example, ‘Summary Chart’.

  • Then you click Save.

Once that is done, you will be able to place it on the layout of your Summary Report.

Types of Quick Charts

When creating a quick chart there are five different options to choose from: Measure Chart, KPI Bar Chart, KPI Donut Chart, KPI Line Chart or KPI Value.

Measure Chart – The measure chart option allows you to select from any charts already created for a measure

  • Select the Scorecard and Element

  • Select the Element name

  • Select the chart you want to use

  • Give the chart a title

KPI Bar Chart – This is a KPI Bar Chart displaying a single key performance indicator over multiple time intervals or categories. Each teal bar represents the KPI value at a specific point, allowing for easy comparison of performance over time. This type of chart is useful for tracking changes or trends in a single metric at a glance.

  • Select the Scorecard and Element

  • Select the Element name

  • Select the Series you would like to display

  • Give the chart a title

  • Select the color for the chart


KPI Donut Chart – This is a KPI Donut Chart displaying a single key performance indicator (KPI) with a partial fill to represent progress or completion percentage. The filled segment in teal indicates the achieved portion, while the remaining unfilled segment shows what’s left to reach the target. This type of chart provides a quick visual overview of performance toward a goal.

  • Select the Scorecard and Element

  • Select the Element name

  • Select the Series you would like to display

  • Give the chart a title

  • Select the primary and secondary colors for the chart

KPI Value – This is a KPI Value display showing a single key performance indicator with a numeric value. The value "13.00" represents the current level of the KPI, providing a straightforward snapshot of performance. This type of display is ideal for highlighting a specific metric in a simple, easy-to-read format.

  • Select the Scorecard and Element

  • Select the Element name

  • Select the Series you would like to display

  • Give the chart a title

KPI Line chart - The KPI Line chart shows a line graph with a filled area underneath it for a single series and shows how that series has performed over time.

  • Select the Scorecard and Element

  • Select the Element name

  • Select the Series you would like to display

  • Enter a name for the chart

  • Select a primary and secondary color for the graph
