Often referred to as a ‘landing page’, ‘home page’, or ‘dashboard’, Scorecard Summary Reports in ClearPoint can serve as the point of entry for users in the tool as well as a high-level view of performance or strategy. With that said, you’ll want to make sure that your Scorecard landing page is informative and easy to navigate!

Adding a new ‘standard’ scorecard summary report

The first step in creating a scorecard landing page is creating a scorecard report! If you already have a report in mind for you landing page, you’ll want to skip to the third section of this article, “Making the scorecard report a scorecard landing page or home page.”

The standard scorecard report layout provides sections similar to the Edit Layout window for detail pages, where you can drag and drop fields where you want them to appear on the page.

Start by making sure you are in the scorecard you would like to create the landing page for.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Scorecard Reports

  • Click on the Plus icon

  • Under Layout Name, enter the name of your Scorecard landing page, in this example, ‘Upward Airlines landing page’.

  • Add an Element to the layout by clicking on the Plus icon next to the Element you want to add

  • Elements can be dragged and dropped to the desired location in the layout

Note: If you do not see the field options that you need to create your scorecard landing page, you can create them in System Settings > Admin Options > Custom Fields. Check out our help article for detailed instructions on creating and using custom fields.

  • Click the gear icon for further Report Options. You will be prompted to Save.

    • This includes setting the Access Type of the report, selecting to include the report in the template library, and selecting to hide the page title. If you are looking to replicate this landing page for other scorecards in your account, we recommend including the report in the template library.

  • Save your Report Options

  • Once you are done with your changes, click Save

  • You will find your newly created Summary Report under Scorecard Reports

  • Double-click on the fields you’ve included from your new Scorecard Summary Report to add content.

  • When you are done making changes, click the green check mark at the top right of the page to save.

Adding a new ‘reference’ scorecard report

If you added a standard scorecard report in the section above or already have a report in mind for you landing page, you’ll want to skip to the third section of this article, “Making the scorecard report a scorecard landing page or home page.”

The reference layout allows you to select from existing summary reports in the scorecard, listed by element type in the dropdown menu. However, you can still give your scorecard summary report a custom name that differs from the name of the actual summary report.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Scorecard Reports

  • Click the dropdown menu next to the Plus icon, select Add Reference Report

  • Under Report Name, enter the name of your Scorecard, in this example, ‘Upward Airlines reference report’.

  • Use the Select Element menu to specify what kind of element report will be used, in this example, ‘Measures’.

  • Select the specific Report Reference to use as the scorecard summary report/landing page, in this example, ‘Summary Report’.

  • Once you are done with your changes, click Save

  • Find your newly created Summary Report under Scorecard Reports

Making the Scorecard Summary report a Scorecard landing page or home page

Once you have built out your new scorecard summary report, there are a couple of different ways to set it as your home page. Setting this report as your home page makes it the first page you see when logging into ClearPoint. This can be a great way to improve navigation for users!

Scorecard landing page

Following these instructions will set the landing page for a given scorecard across your entire account. When all users visit the scorecard, this is the landing page they will see. Rather than this being the first page users see when they log in, this will be the first page users see when they click on a specific scorecard.

To set your report as the landing page for a given scorecard, the report must be the first scorecard report on the Manage Scorecard Reports page.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Scorecard Reports

  • Drag and drop the report you want to be set as the landing page to the top

Set up a Home page for you or multiple users

You can set your report as your home page or the home page for other users as well. When using this option, this will be the very first page anyone sees when logging into ClearPoint.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Scorecard Reports

  • Locate the Scorecard report you wish to set as the Home page, in this example, ‘Upward Airlines landing page’.

  • Click on the dropdown menu next to the Star icon, you have two options

    • Set As Home to set the report as your Home page

    • Bulk Set Home Page to set a Home page for multiple users or your entire organization
