ClearPoint's IP address restriction feature allows you to control access to your account by allowing or blocking specific IP addresses. This is particularly helpful for organizations that manage sensitive information or allow access only through specific networks.

Pre-requisites

This feature is available for Enterprise Plan accounts only.

Configure IP address restrictions

  • From the Control Panel click on System Settings

  • Select System Setup

  • Click on IP Address Restrictions under Enterprise Features

  • Test IP Address

    • You will see your current IP address. You can enter in different IP addresses to test the addresses under IP Allow List and IP Block List.

  • IP Allow List

    • Enter an IP address (IPV4 or CIDR format) to allow access to your account. If a specific IP address is allowed, then all other IP addresses will not have access to your account. If this field is left blank, all IP addresses, other than ones that are blocked, will have access to your account. To allow multiple IP addresses, enter each new IP address (IPV4 or CIDR format) on a separate line.

  • IP Block List

    • Enter an IP address that will not be able to access your account. If you block and allow an IP address, the allowed permission will override the blocked permission and this location will have access to your account. To block multiple IP addresses, enter each new IP address (IPV4 or CIDR format) on a separate line.

  • Once you are done with your configuration, click Save
