ClearPoint allows you to upload external documents to provide additional context to your strategy. This can be especially helpful for explaining specific parts of your plan to stakeholders.
Adding attachments to ClearPoint
The following steps apply to any Element in ClearPoint, Objectives, Measures, or Initiatives.
Steps to add an attachment field to an Element Detail page
Select Elements & Reports from the Control Panel
Choose Elements
Open Objectives
Select the Objective you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Very Low Ticket Prices’
Click the dropdown menu next to the edit Pencil icon
Select Edit Layout
Locate Attachments in the left panel
Click the Plus icon to add it to the layout
You can drag and drop Attachments to the desired location
Once you are done with your changes, click Save
Steps to add an attachment to a Detail page
Double-click on the Attachment field
You can upload PDFs, images, or office documents
Each file can be up to 10 MB in size.
Once you are done, click on the green checkmark to Save your changes
Edit an Attachment
We will explore a few options to show the attached file in all or specific periods and you can decide to include a PDF in page exports or Briefing Books.
Select Elements & Reports from the Control Panel
Choose Elements
Open Objectives
Select the Objective you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Very Low Ticket Prices’
Double-click on the Attachment field
From here you can, Delete, Edit, or Download an attachment
Click the edit Pencil icon on the attachment you want to edit
You can rename the attachment
By default, Show in all periods will be selected, you can uncheck the box to select a Specific period from the dropdown menu
For PDFs and images, you can mark the checkbox next to Include in Briefing Book and PDF exports, if you want them to be included in page exports.
Click Save on Edit attachment
Once you are done with your changes, mark the green checkbox to Save your changes.
Documents
All attachments are available (depending on permissions) to be deleted or downloaded on the Documents page in the Control Panel.
Select Documents from the Control Panel
Choose Attachments under Files
From here you will have the option to Download or Delete attachments
