This article explains the actions that users with Browser permissions can do in ClearPoint.

Users with Browser permissions can Log in to ClearPoint and view the information they have access to in the system. Browsers can not make any updates or edits to the content but they are able to export the information to PDF or Excel to view and share with others.


Browser user

In ClearPoint, Browser users can view Detail Pages and Summary Reports. This is useful if you are going to use ClearPoint to review reports and analyze information.

Please note you will only have access to information your administrator has previously granted access.


Favorite a page

ClearPoint allows you to Favorite a page for ease of access.

In this example, we are going to navigate to a Measure and mark it as Favorite.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Elements

  • Open Measures

  • Select the Measure you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Revenue’.

  • Click on the Favorite icon at the top right

  • Easily find your favorites by clicking on My ClearPoint from the Control Panel

  • Select My Favorites


Export a page

In this example, we are going to navigate to a Measure and export it to PDF.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Reports

  • Open Scorecard Reports

  • Select the Report you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Quick Start Guide’.

  • Click on the dropdown menu next to the edit Pencil icon at the top right

  • Select Export to PDF

    • Other types of reports like Measures will additionally allow you to Export to Excel and Dashboards have also the option to Export as PowerPoint.

  • The option Email Page is useful as you don’t have to download and attach a report

    • Select a recipient from the dropdown menu or enter an email address if it's an external user

    • You will find a prepopulated Subject that you can modify

    • Additionally, you can send yourself a copy of the email

    • In the Body field, you can add a message to give context to the page you are sending

  • Once you are done, click Save

Your Admin has set what you can view in ClearPoint, if you have any questions about your access reach out to your ClearPoint administrator, they will be able to help you with any access-related questions and make any changes if necessary.


Attachments

ClearPoint also has a place to see attachments, this is helpful when you need to only see a specific part of a page and not an entire report.

In this example, we are going to navigate to Objectives, find an attachment, and download it.

  • Select Scorecards & Elements from the Control Panel

  • Choose Manage Elements

  • Open Objectives

  • Select the Objective you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Direct Routes’.

  • Click the Download button under Attachments

  • Additionally, you can click on Documents from the Control Panel

  • Click on Attachments under Files

  • Click the Download button
