This article walks through how to add and manage Dashboards in ClearPoint.

Publish scorecards and measures effortlessly! ClearPoint Dashboards enable users to create and share dynamic dashboards with just a few clicks, turning your data into impactful visualizations. With the ability to customize the look and feel of your Dashboards, this user-friendly feature empowers you to build a stunning public dashboard. Elevate your ClearPoint experience with personalized and visually captivating dashboards that align perfectly with your unique preferences.


Adding a Dashboard

You can create an easy-to-navigate and visually appealing dashboard that can be published to a publicly accessible, customizable link.

  • From the Control Panel click on Documents

  • Select Dashboards

  • Click New Dashboard

    • You will be presented with an onboarding Wizard if this is your first time setting up a Dashboard.

  • Under Template Name, enter the name of the new template, in this example, ‘Upward Airlines Dashboard’.

  • Under Logo, you can either Drag and Drop an image or use the option Choose File

  • Under Link, enter how the link is going to be generated, in this example, ‘upwardairlinesdashboard’.

  • Navigate to the Content tab

  • Select the Scorecards to be included in your Dashboard

  • You will be prompted to Save before continuing

Important: You will be presented with a message requesting you to configure a dashboard hostname if you haven’t already.

  • Navigate to the Design tab

  • Select the Dashboard Typeface from the dropdown menu

  • Select the text size from the Dashboard Text Size

  • The following fields will help you enter

    • Dashboard Title

    • Organization Name

    • Welcome Text

    • Scorecard Heading

  • Under Scorecard Settings you can change

  • The icon that displays to the left of the Scorecard Name

  • You can also add a description by clicking the Plus icon

  • Under Color Set you can select

  • You can select your own colors to keep it consistent with your brand standards

  • We have some Ready-made palettes ready for you

  • Navigate to the Schedule tab

  • Click on the Plus icon under Schedule List

  • Under Schedule Name, you will find a prepopulated name that you can edit

  • Select the First Run Date

  • Choose the Run Time

  • Mark the checkbox next to Recurrence if you want to set a recurrence

  • In this example we are going to choose

    • Repeats Monthly

    • Every 1 Month

    • The First Monday

    • Set an End By Date if applicable

    • Click Save to confirm your selection

  • Once you are done with your changes, click Save


Managing Dashboard Templates

  • From the Control Panel click on Documents

  • Choose Dashboards

  • Locate the Dashboard you are going to be working with

  • Click the three dots icon next to a Dashboard and the following options will be displayed

    • Publish Dashboard, this option allows you to Publish or Republish your Dashboard to fetch the most up to date information.

      • This option allows you to select the Reporting Period you want to publish

    • Edit Template, you can edit your Dashboard template with this option.

    • Duplicate Template, you can duplicate your template and modify it to your convenience.

    • Delete Template, this option will allow you to delete your template.

    • Link Dashboard, a new tab will open directing to your dashboard

  • Click the expand icon next to the three dots icon

  • You will find a revision history of the Published dashboards, you can Delete previously published versions from here

    • Deleting all versions will unpublish the Dashboard and take it to a Draft mode until you Publish again


Editing a Dashboard

  • From the Control Panel click on Documents

  • Choose Dashboards

  • Locate the Dashboard you are going to be working with

  • Click the three dots icon

  • Select Edit Template

  • In this example, we are going to change the Scorecard this Dashboard is referring to, but you can make any changes by navigating through the different tabs

  • Once you are done with your changes, click Save

Important: Remember that you are editing the Dashboard Template, you will have to Publish your changes to see them reflected.
