This article walks through how to add Goals (OKRs) as a manager in ClearPoint.

If you're a manager using ClearPoint, you might be interested in learning how to add goals. In this guide, you will learn how to add new goals and key results, connect them to relevant elements, and navigate the Goals tab with ease. Whether you prefer manual entry or using ClearPoint's AI assistant feature, you'll be able to set clear and achievable goals for your team in no time.


Navigating the Goals Tab

In the Goals tab, you can sort Goals in different ways.

  • Select Goals from the Control Panel

  • Under Goals, you will be able to sort by

    • By Individual, filters OKRs by the individual who is assigned that goal.

    • By Manager, to sort goals by the manager.

    • By Department, to sort by Department.

    • By Scorecard, to filter by Scorecard that the goal is linked to.


Manually adding an OKR

  • Select Goals from the Control Panel

  • Choose By Individual

  • Click on the dropdown menu at the top right-hand side of your screen

  • Select Add Goal

  • Under Name, enter the new Goal name, for example, ‘Increase customer satisfaction by 15% by EOY.’

  • Select an Owner from the dropdown menu

  • Select the respective Manager

  • Use the dropdown menu to Select Period

  • You can set the level of Visibility

  • Navigate to the Key Results tab

  • Click on the Plus icon

  • Under Key Result Name, enter the new Goal name, for example, ‘Achieve an average CSAT score of 85% month over month.’

  • Select the Data Type

  • Set a Start point and Target

  • Navigate to the Links tab

  • Click the Link Tag icon to create a new link

  • Select the Scorecard

  • Choose the Link Type

  • Mark the checkbox next to the element you wish to create a link

  • Click Save to save your selection

  • Once you are done with your changes, click Save


Adding an OKR with AI

  • Select ClearPoint AI from the Control Panel

  • Click on AI Assistants

  • In this example, we are going to create an Individual Goal

    • If this is the first time you are using the AI Assistant, you will be prompted to Accept the Terms and Conditions

  • Use the dropdown menu to select

    • What kind of Goals are we creating?

    • Who are we creating Goals for?

    • What’s the reporting period?

  • Click on Start AI Assistant

  • You will be prompted to answer a series of questions that will help the AI Assistant to generate the Goal.

  • Once you feel comfortable with the Goals established, click Add Goals to ClearPoint

  • Confirm you wish to create the Goal by clicking the Add button
